A Small Town With a Lot of Ground Around It

Inola calls itself the Hay Capital of the World and has held Hay Days every year since 1960. The town has about 1,900 people, but most Inola residents live outside town limits on 1 to 20 acres. Inside town, 59% of homes were built before 1980, and more than half went up between 1950 and 1979.

That means a lot of original windows and doors, and a lot of siding that has taken decades of open-country wind. Morgan Windows replaces windows, doors, and siding and builds decks for homes in town and on the surrounding acreage. Our Catoosa shop is about 19 miles away, roughly 27 minutes.

What We See in Inola Homes

  1. Homes from the 1950s through the 1970s

More than half of Inola homes were built between 1950 and 1979. Original single-pane or aluminum windows from that era let in drafts and sweat in winter. Whole-house window replacement is usually the biggest comfort upgrade these homes can get, at $700 to $1,100 per window installed.

  2. Two damaging storms in 2026

On March 6, 2026, an EF1 tornado crossed the east side of town and tore part of a roof off, and on May 8, 2026, ping-pong-ball hail damaged homes northwest of town. In August 2017, 90 mph gusts tore the siding off a home south of town. See our hail damage guide before you file.

  3. Cold nights and ice

The nearby Claremore weather station averages about 94 nights a year at or below freezing, the coldest of the nearby stations we checked, and FEMA rates Rogers County Very High for ice storms. Tight windows and well-sealed doors make the biggest difference on those nights.

  4. Acreage homes, barns, and outbuildings

Many Inola homes sit on acreage with shops and outbuildings. Siding built for wind, sturdy exterior doors, and a deck or covered patio for the view are common projects. If your home is outside town limits, Rogers County rules apply instead of the town's.

Permits & Local Rules in Inola

What Inola Requires

Inola does its own plan review, permits, and inspections. Here is what the town code says as of October 2026, and who to call.

Permits
The town code says no building or structure shall be built, enlarged, altered, or moved without a building permit. Applications go to the town clerk at Town Hall, 900 James Ct, 918-543-2430, and the trustees set the fees.
Codes
Oklahoma's 2024 International Residential Code took effect statewide on September 14, 2026, and it is the minimum standard for new work in Inola.
Decks
Unroofed decks may extend into required setbacks only if nothing but a handrail rises more than 30 inches above grade. Our deck prices include whatever permit your deck needs.
Outside town limits
Acreage homes outside the town limits fall under Rogers County, not the Town of Inola.
Utilities
PSO serves the town, and some rural homes are on Verdigris Valley Electric. Neither offers a window rebate, and the federal window tax credit ended December 31, 2025.

Inola Window, Door & Siding Questions

Common Questions From Inola Homeowners

Do I need a permit to replace windows in Inola?
Inola's code says no building or structure may be built, enlarged, altered, or moved without a building permit, and the town handles its own permits and inspections. Call Town Hall at 918-543-2430 to confirm whether your window, door, or siding job needs one, or we can check for you before we start.
I live on acreage outside Inola. Do the town rules apply?
No. Homes outside the town limits fall under Rogers County rather than the Town of Inola. We serve both the same way: a free in-home estimate, written pricing for every window, door, or wall, and the same crew from our Catoosa shop about 19 miles away.
Can you repair storm damage in Inola?
Yes, and 2026 has kept us busy there: an EF1 crossed the east side of town in March, ping-pong-ball hail hit homes northwest of town in May, and back in 2017 a 90 mph gust stripped the siding off a house south of town. We document storm damage in writing for your insurer before we repair anything.
My Inola home was built in the 1960s. Is it worth replacing the windows?
Usually, yes. More than half of Inola homes were built between 1950 and 1979, and original single-pane or aluminum windows from that era are drafty and sweat in winter. Replacement runs $700 to $1,100 per window installed, and we price each opening in writing.
Is there a rebate for new windows in Inola?
No. PSO serves the town and Verdigris Valley Electric serves some rural homes, and neither offers a window rebate. The federal window tax credit ended December 31, 2025. PSO does rebate door seals, door sweeps, weatherstripping, and attic insulation for its customers, which are often the cheaper first step for a drafty house.
How far are you from Inola?
Inola is one of the closer towns we serve, about 19 miles east of our Catoosa shop along Highway 412, roughly 27 minutes. We come out to acreage homes as readily as homes in town, the estimate is free, and the price is the same as anywhere else in the metro.
